Webcam

Seems like the webcam has died. I’ve reset it a number of times and this time it didn’t come back. Time to revisit the Raspberry Pi camera idea… much higher resolution at a lower cost than replacing the PTZ camera again.

So, until the snow melts enough to get up on a ladder and replace the camera we are stuck with the one picture.

See the November 2012 post for details on high speed internet access.

And here is the link to the Weather data for those that want all the details.

It would be nice to hear from all my neighbors that frequently look at the picture and weather data. Just a first name and which street you live on would be nice. And if you rather not be published just say so and I’ll not let the note out, but I’d like to hear from you anyways.

    So,

I’ll be tweaking it for a while, but we are started. Next I’ll be adding a small summary of current conditions to this page.

Thanks for the site. We’ve had it in our favorites for a couple years now. We have a home on Lodgepole Drive but live in Arizona most of the year. It’s nice to check the weather in Dory Lakes first thing everyday.

Would we be able to sign in to the webcam? I am a retired veteran who enjoys looking at the weather on webcams. My sons live in the area.

      Hi,

I don’t permit people to control the webcam (all it would take is 10 seconds directly at the sun and the CCD would be toast), but the picture updates every 30 seconds so you can see current live pictures.
